Monday

I got my new ring :) Sooooo pretty! I'll attach a picture. It's a 1ct Sapphire in white gold. No children were harmed in the making of this ring. (See my blog about diamonds)

Here's a picture of the kids and their grandma Patty waving goodbye this morning to their Dad. This morning, Paige ran up to me with her arms open to give me a hug! It's the first real hug where she came to me to get one. She always hugs when I pick her up, but this was different. She gave one to her Daddy too. She's asleep in her crib right now. Good baby! She already woke up once, but went back to sleep. Maybe she'll actually sleep in her crib all night someday! LOL!

Mom and Dad came over this weekend. Mom got her hair done and Paigie and I went downtown with her. Dad, Jeff and Cammy boy stayed here and put up the rest of the lattice around the deck and finished the rail over to the fence to enclose the yard. Sunday, Jeff and I finished the gate and now our yard is completely enclosed again. Woo hoo!!

I purchased Cam's fort this weekend and hopefully we'll be able to put it up soon. Mom and I are going to try to do it ourselves.

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Today is Grandma Patty's birthday! Happy Birthday! She and great-grandma came over for dinner tonight and we had pasta. The kids were kind of crazy, but they had fun.

Cam has gone two nights in a row without wearing a diaper to bed and he hasn't had an accident. I'm really excited about not having to buy him diapers anymore. Now, if Paige will figure out that toilet thing...

My bum hurts when I sneeze. Paige pulled my chair out from under me and I sat down hard on the wood floor. Ouch! I was in pain, laying on the floor half laughing, half crying and Paigie came over and made a sad face and laid down next to me. She is so sweet. I think that's the first time I've seen her sympathize with someone.

Tuesday

Paige and Cam are being really quiet at the moment! they have a big cardboard box that we made into a house with doors and windows and they colored all over it. Right now, they are going through all of my stickers and sticking them all over the box. So fun! I think Paige is multi-tasking.. her face is red and she may be filling her pants.

Paige now says 'stuck'. I like when she tells me stories and goes on and on and uses her hands to gesture and I have no idea what she is saying. It does look pretty interesting though. She still loves to go 'round' and insists we all run around the house over and over and over until someone collapses from exhaustion.

Cam and I made paper hats yesterday. Paige really liked hers too, but wouldn't hold still and I couldn't find the flash, so I was out of luck, but Cam sure is adorable in his! He is a great poser for the Camera. I added Paige's picture anyway, sorry it's blurry. Remember, Jeff is the photographer, not me :)

New Website

Jeff LaPlante Photography

Ok! It's been live for a few days now but I figured I should blog about my new website! It's here! I finally got some time to revamp everything. Tell me what you think! :)

I know there are still a few minor bugs with Internet Explorer to work out but that should be fixed fairly quickly. If you have any issues with the site or just want to tell me how great you think it is, send me an email. :)

An appetizing breakfast

This morning, Cam had a waffle for breakfast. He looked at grandma and said "this would be more appetizing with syrup on it. "
Yesterday news..
Zoe was in Paige's way so she just growled at Zoe who moved for her. Zoe is taller than Paige! Silly dog. Good dog, but silly.
I put bubbles in Paige's bath last night and they scared her! She stood up and started crying and saying 'up up up!' After I pushed some bubbles aside and showed her that she could still see her feet, she felt much better about it. She still refused to sit down until the bubbles went away.
After bath, the kids and I ran laps around the middle of the house. Cam turned out all of the lights and we ran in the dark. It was a hoot! Paige laughed and ran until she was so tired she couldn't stand up. She still wanted to run, but I was exhausted so Cam took her on one more lap before bed.

Valentine's Day!

Wow, it SNOWED overnight! What a surprise. Cam loved it, of course. He went next door to Mikayla and Trevor's house to play until his grandma came over. She brought the kids Valentines... really cute books in the shape of mobile phones. they have a button on them that makes it ring. SO cute. The kids think they are great. Paige keeps pushing the button and giggling. They also got some conversation hearts and cards from Grandma and Great Grandma. I got the kids little shovels. Haha, how's that for a gift? I got them though so the kids could dig in the yard with me when we start weeding. I know Cam loves to help and it will be fun for them to have their own little tools.

Jeff brought me roses! He's so sweet. He also brought home some paper dividers/holders for me to organize my scrapbook paper. I've been looking for something to use for that. He is a wonderful husband. I am going to take his watch in and have it engraved on the back.

Dancing in the moonlight

Last night, at his grandparents' house, Cam got to dance in the moonlight to drum music. Pappa put on a cd and Cam danced and danced until he was exhausted. He didn't want to quit, but finally Pappa had to turn it off so they could go to sleep. Cam crashed hard. Today he gets to go to a birthday party for a little girl who lives next to his grandparents.

Today, Paige is helping me scrapbook. We'll see how much I can get done :)

I miss my Cammy boy

Little Cam went to visit his gramma and papa again until Sunday. I know he is having a fabulous time, but I still miss him. I want to kiss him good night and tell him I love him. He looked so adorable riding off with his gramma in his car seat, waving out the window.

I tried to scrapbook a bit today, but I didn't get much past hauling everything out. Paige wants to get into everything. She threw a bunch of beads and kept messing up my paper. She sure did have a great time destroying everything. Paige likes trying to give me belly blows. She doesn't quite get it, but does a good job sliming my tummy. Anytime someone leaves she likes to chase them to the door and say "BYE... See you". Oh and Cam called tonight to say goodnight and he told Paige he loved her. Paige replied with "bye.. see you". very cute in her little voice.

Pedicures

Mom and I had a pedicure this evening and it was so nice. Now I have soft feet and red toenails. When we got home, Cammy said "I like your toe lashes!"

Last night was really cold. Cam went outside with his gramma to help warm up her car and she taught him how to use your hand to warm up a spot in the ice on the car window. They made handprints all over. Cam made cute little Cam sized hand prints and looked through them and said "Gramma, I can look through my paw prints." :) The little things he says are SO adorable.

Paige is sleeping in her crib. I'm hoping to get her to sleep there all night. I always have these great ideas and she always seems to find her way to my bed anyway.

Jeff is falling asleep at his computer. Hee hee! He's doing that head bob thing.

3 am

Why is Paige up at 3am? Who knows. *yawn*
Sleep baby, sleep!

Diamonds

I have decided to not wear diamonds anymore. Too many people are being killed, mutilated, enslaved, and tortured so we can wear a stupid chunk of earth on our hands. Those kids in Africa deserve the lives that my kids get. They are just as valuable as my children. If you want to know more, you can search for conflict diamonds or go here: http://www.amnestyusa.org/topics/ click on diamonds and read. There is tons of information available. No diamonds are absolutely 100% guaranteed to be safe and even if I had one that was, I don't want to show support for the industry.

shots and ice cream

Paige had her 18 month appointment with her new doctor, Dr. Argue. He was great. Paige had two shots, the DTaP (Diptheria, tetanus, Pertussis) and the chicken pox vaccine. She cried, but it wasn't too bad. She is 34" tall and weighs 24 pounds. I thought she'd sleep all afternoon, but that didn't happen. She's wide awake and cheery. After the appointment we went out for ice cream. YUM!!

Do the refs ever go back and watch the game?

So the Hawks lost and I'm sad. YAY for Steeler's fans though :) It really could have gone either way, but seriously, those refs sucked.

Moving on... Poor Paige has her 18 month appointment in the morning. The rough part is the vaccines. I always feel like I'm betraying her when I hold her down for those shots and she starts screaming. Today, she learned that she can haul a chair over to the front door to turn the dead bolt so she can escape. I'm not sure what to do about that. When Cam was doing that, I had a door knob cover, but this house has a lever handle that is easy for a baby to open. It's funny that she does all the same things her brother used to do.

Gramma is coming tomorrow in the evening. Cam will be so excited because he gets to sleep in her bed for three nights in a row. Spoiled boy. :) It makes me so happy that my kids have so many people who love them.

Superbowl Sunday

Yay! I'm so excited for the game.

The other day, Cam put some blankets over Genevieve (the sheep dog) and said "Look, mom, a SHEET dog!" Hahahaha. The kid cracks me up. Oh, and once before I started my blog, he was sitting on the floor filling his underwear with pennies. When I noticed what he was doing, I asked him what it was about. He stood up, shook his buns and said "I'm a human maraca!" Love him :)

Today he and I went outside and he helped me trim the ferns. It's such a nice day out. Funny, the first really nice day in a long time and most people around here will be inside watching the game.

I caught Paige with my phone this morning. She was holding it up to her ear and having a very complex conversation with no one. She'd pause, talk, pause, laugh, squeal, pause... nod her head. I think she is just about finished with her high chair. I still really like it, but she prefers the real chairs. I'm afraid she'll fall off of them the way Cam used to. I didn't worry so much with him and he ended up with a couple of broked arms. Speaking of which, I just checked the bone in his arm that healed with a lump and the lump really is going away, just like the doctor said.

My friend Manda may have her baby today. She was in labor yesterday, but it stalled so they sent her home. Poor girl! Should be any day now.

Jeff is good because Jeff is always good :) He is totally redesigning his website and I really like his new ideas. I'll post when he's finished.

Paige

Well, I missed getting the shoes in my last post, so here they are for real. I hope.

Also, Paige was just running around the island in the kitchen with a noisy pull toy and screaming. I think she is feeling normal again :) I sure hope so anyway.

A Dyson!

I got a Dyson! Woo Hoo! Once it was home we all argued about who would get to vacuum first. Paige just grabbed one of the attachments and used that. Cam spent a long time vacuuming all of the wood floors. He had a great time! Here are pictures of him vacuuming in his new Seahawks colored jersey and a picture of Paige's new shoes.

Tantrums, shoes and jerseys

Yesterday we went out to find some shoes for Paige (her first REAL pair!) and a Seahawks jersey for Cam. Seahawks gear is in high demand these days so we had a hard time finding anything. I finally went to a store and just when I gave up, I saw a blue Jersey hanging on a rack of mens clothes. I picked it up and it was exactly Cam's size! It's not Seahawks, but it's just the perfect colors and much much less expensive. Cam said it was just perfect so he has that one. I'll take a picture of him in it tonight. He loves it and even decided to wear it the right way.

Paige got a new pair of shoes. She screamed when I made her try them on which reminds me of the way Cam used to respond to trying on shoes. They are cute pink canvas with a white rubber toe and a bow that velcros across the top. I'll take a picture of that too if I can get her to wear them.

Last night Paige had another temper tantrum at bed time. I can't figure out what it is she wants and I'm starting to think she just needs to go to sleep. Jeff finally just put her in her crib where she screamed for about 5 minutes and then she fell sound asleep. It must be frustrating to be so exhausted and not be able to explain it. She has her 18 month appointment next week with a new doctor. I decided I don't care for her pediatrician too much so I've moved to a family practice doctor that is closer to our house. We can all see the same doctor now. Her current doctor is okay, but I just don't feel right with her so it's time for a change.

Great grandma came today to play with the kids. Cam and Paige love having two grandmas over! Lately, Cam has been complaining when I come home because he wants his grandma. He is lucky to have them both. Oh, yesterday I told Paige that grandma (my mom) was on the phone and would be visiting soon. Paige ran to the front door to look for a grandma and when she didn't see anyone she started crying. Poor baby, I didn't mean to confuse her. She was pretty mad about it and ran to the couch to cry some more and shoot me some mean looks. What a crack up.
