More pictures

Here are a bunch of pictures I found on my camera from the last week or so. Paige and Cam in their Chef outfit, Cam being cute and Cam sleeping. :)

The dentist and Halloween

Funny how the dentist and Halloween go together. Cam went to his pediatric dentist last week and had two fillings done. He did absolutely wonderful and when I asked him about it, he said it didn't even hurt. This from the kid who won't let my dentist even look in his mouth. Pediatric dentists are amazing. I highly recommend! As a treat after his appointment, I took him to Build-a-Bear where he picked out a Big Bird to stuff and got a Buzz Lightyear costume to put on him. All very silly and surprisingly expensive, so it's not likely to happen again :) Cam LOVES his Big Bird though and I am very proud of him.

Mom made Captain Hook and Tinkerbell costumes for the kids and they got to try them out on Friday. Here are pictures I took before we went to the zoo for the pumpkin prowl (surprisingly disappointing, but the kids seemed to have fun).

Tomorrow, I plan to take the kids to a pumpkin patch and then back to the zoo to watch the zoo keepers feed pumpkins to the animals. I think it sounds like fun and Jeff wants time to work.

I finished a scarf I was knitting for Jeff. I'm very proud of myself. Besides the fruitcup hats, it's the only thing I have actually finished. Okay, that's almost true - I still have to tie off the last piece and then it will be all done.

Chef Paige

I just love this picture of Paige. I have great ones of Cam in the chef hat and apron and more of Paigie too, but I don't have them with me right now, so you'll have to take what you can get :) I'll post more pictures later.

Mom came over this weekend and brought the kids' costumes. They are sooo cute! Cameron really likes his Captain Hook Coat and Paige is cute in Tinkerbell! I don't know how much she'll cooperate with wearing it, but it is cute and looks pretty comfortable. She is still obsessed with her Tinkerbell shirt. That thing is going to fall apart before she outgrows it.

Cam got to go to a pumpkin patch last week with his class. It sounds like he had a really great time and he wants to go again with us this weekend. He is doing well in his school classes and enjoys going.

I took my finals last night and Monday night and now I can relax for the rest of the week. Well, not really because I still have the kids and work, but at least it's one less thing I have to do. Next week I start new classes.

Kids have colds

Poor kids, both have colds again! Cam seems about over it, but Paige's nose just flows. Hey, that rhymes!
Yesterday, Paige and I went out to the scrapbook store and the Disney store. We had a good time, just the two of us :) Cam got to play with his friend Lauren for a little while and she is supposed to come over again today. Lauren gave each of the kids a little Mardi Gras mask and balloons left over from the Democratic fund raiser. Paige likes to put hers on and say "ARRR I'm a pirate!"

Cam saves the world

Cam is building with his legos. He is making a train and stacking legos so high on top that it keeps falling over and off the rails. He told me he is filling up the train with food and toys for the people in the big city who don't have any food or toys. He says he has to take lots and lots of food for the people so that's why he is stacking them so high, but every time it falls over, he gets frustrated and annoyed. I suggested his train take two trips so it won't derail and spill all of that food because if the train falls over, he can't deliver the food. Cam looked at me and said "But Mom... they are only legos and I can clean them up."

Binks wears Tink and Jeff cooks stuff

Paige LOVES this t-shirt with Tinkerbell on it. She gets very upset when we make her take it off to wash it. She even feeds Tink water from her sippy cup. Paige also refuses to take off those Dora shoes. they are falling apart and bothering her feet, but she will NOT take them off.

Yesterday morning, I set Cam up with my computer so he could play on Noggin.com. Here, he was coloring in an eagle on the website. Paige just climbed up on the table like it was perfectly normal and acceptable to lay on the table. Of course, my response of "Oh isn't that cute!!" and running for the camera probably didn't help.

Later, we went to the grocery store where the kids got to use their own little shopping carts which they filled up. When we got home, Jeff made us eggs benedict! Yummy. It's so nice having Jeff home 4 days a week now. I'm hoping he'll be home 7 days a week pretty soon.

random photos

Here are some pictures I pulled off my camera today. First, Paige and I sitting on my chair together having a bad hair day. I think Cam took that picture. Then, there are some of the kids on the ferry boat toy climb on thing at Bellevue Square Mall. There are actually two of these boats and this one is smaller, but it's usually less crowded. The other one is much older, but really cool! Then, there are some pictures of Paige from today. She's on the couch caring for her babies. She sure does like those babies. Finally, Cam is a nutcase!

Jeff is older!

Jeff had a birthday, yay! I think he's 32 now. We went to dinner at Tony Roma's to celebrate and poor Cam slept throught the entire thing. Mom and Dad visited this weekend and we had a great time. I took the kids to The Picture People so the employees could use my kids for training. Great fun because we got to keep two portraits. Paige didn't really cooperate, but Cam did, and he's so cute!! Genevieve went to the groomer's and she is so beautiful! They did a really fabulous job and they were cheap. Less than half what I used to pay.

The house down the street was broken in to today. Kristine and her husband even saw the guy as they were leaving and said good morning to him. Then, they came home and caught him in the house and he ran off. They are really scared that he will return though and the whole neighborhood is really watching. Apparently he was casing the neighborhood last week because a lot of people saw him.

Chuck E Cheese, the zoo.

Last week we went to Chuck E Cheese and to the zoo. CEC was first with grandma and great grandma. I never look forward to going there because it's so loud and obnoxious, but the kids LOVE it and then when I do go, I end up having such a great time! I had a ton of fun and I need to remember that next time. Here are some pictures of the adventure.
We also went to the zoo with a bunch of friends. We went with the July FF playgroup and also included Jenn and Collin. The kids really liked seeing the jaguar and the gorillas. The jaguar sure did look intently at the row of two year olds looking in at him. I wonder if he was hungry? I wouldn't want to run into one of those cats in the wild. He sure was beautiful though. The gorillas always crack me up and then we found some gorilla statues that the kids could play on.

Yesterday in the car Cam said "Mom, what's the word for when something vanishes into thin air?" Jeff said "Disappeared?" Cam: "Yea!" He also told me that he and his friend Alec were playing spy brothers and they were secret agents, but unfortunately their mission was canceled because the OSS hired new secret agents. He's funny. It's hard to believe he is close to 5 years old.

Jeff switched to part time at work, but he's hoping to cut back even more or quit all together very soon. Hopefully he can book a few more weddings before this summer and get his bike sold and he'll have a great possibility of doing that.
