little things

Not much to report, but I've been off for a few days. I had a couple of midterms and now I'm trying to test out of Algebra so I don't have to waste precious time taking classes I took back in Middle School. You'd think if I took Calc III, it would come with an automatic algebra waiver. Ugh. Anyway, school is tiring, but good too.

Today, Jenn and I went to Ben Franklin with the kids. At one point, Cam pushed the cart up to Jenn and said "I'm shopping so I can boss the kids around." Hahahaha!!

Mr. Kevin came and finished the fence, I gave Jeff one of his birthday presents early (The feather bed) and now I think I will go sleep in it.

Oh yea, a church lady called me at 9:30 pm and asked if I could come in to church in the morning and help stuff some envelopes. Here's a short transcript:

Church Lady: could you come in tomorrow morning and fill envelopes?
Me: Well, I would love to help, but I have to work.
CL: Oh, uh... Wednesday morning?
Me: Yes, I work in the morning
CL: Oh, well so Wednesdays aren't good for you?
Me: No, I work.
CL: Oh. I see. So you couldn't help tomorrow then?
Me: No, I work full time. I work every day. I go in at 6:00 and I work all day, then I go to school and take a full load too. This week is midterm week for me so I'm also taking tests and writing papers. I also have two kids and at the end of the day, I do more work to get some overtime in. I'm more than happy to help the church stuff envelopes, but I really can't skip out on work to do that when we are busy designing a new airplane that you might fly on someday.
CL: Oh. Okay, then.. So, you can't help tomorrow morning? It's a Wednesday?
Me: No.
CL: Oh, I had no idea you did all of that! Someone just gave me this list, but I'll take you off of it.
Me: Okay, but don't hesitate to ask me to help, just not during working hours.

Dentist, videos and lots of photos

Cam, Jeff and I went to the dentist on Thursday. Cam needs fillings so we are taking him to a pediatric dentist. I hope they can just sedate him because he doesn't take well to people sticking tools in his mouth. I found these pictures of Binks on my camera today - some were probably taken on Thursday and earlier this week. Paige is just so incredibly cute in these that I had to put them all up.

Earlier today, Cam wanted to take a picture with my camera and he captured this one of me. Not bad! Actually, I'm very impressed that he did so well.

Then, Paige tried riding the horse she got for her birthday. What a crack up.

And... videos. I love videos! First, here's Binks, just being Binks. She does say "I don't" in this clip, which I love. I wanted to catch that on camera before she starts saying "I don't know" instead. Click on the picture to watch the video.

Here are the kids at dinner today. Well, it's after dinner. The Schwan man came today and he gave Cammy and Paige a cup of ice cream dots (like dippin' dots) to share after dinner. I think they like them! They were playing a little game where Paige would make a silly noise and then Cam would copy her, but they stopped doing it when I pulled out the camera. They are still adorable. Click to watch.

Cam drew this little Cam dude on his hand today and I just fell in love with it. He used it to talk to me so of course, I grabbed the camera. Again, with the click.

Mom is coming tomorrow for the stampin' up party - woo hoo! Heather might come :) YAY and Jenn and her mom as well as Sheila and her kids, Brennah and Shae. I'll have to take pictures.

Jeff can't read, Paige and Cammy make tea

Jeff posted to my blog! I guess "Cameron and Paige" looks a lot like "Argentun" so it's easy to see why he would do that. Dork. :D For those of you now looking to see what I'm talking about, I already deleted his post. If you are interested in his life, go read his blog. Actually, it's a great blog. It has pictures and stuff.

Jenn is doing way better!! She looks so healthy and happy. I'm very happy for her. Today she got the green light to pick up Collin and pretty much do whatever she wants. She came over the other day and brought Paige her birthday present - a Dora lunch box, a really cute book and a princess tea set. Both Cam and Paige play with the tea set. They just love it! Here is Paige playing with it this morning while Cam was at school.

Jenn also got Cammy this super great UW Huskies football jersey. He never wants to take it off and ended up crying when I said he couldn't wear it for the third day in a row because he got shaving cream on it at school and now I need to wash it. I don't have a great picture of it, but you can see it here. Notice the glittery crown clip in his hair? Mom got that for Paige at Disneyland, but Cam likes to be 'King Cameron'.

Two more pictures of Cammy boy... one where he is being silly laying on that mattress. He was saying "I love you, Mom, you're the best mom ever!" and the next one was the following day - he spent hours sleeping on the couch because he wasn't feeling well. Poor little dude.

Here is a pretty decent picture of me. Susie Hamidi of Susie Hamidi Photography took it with my little Coolpix camera. I'm sure it turned out so well because she was behind the camera! You can check her out at www.susiehamidi.com - she is a wedding photographer as well and a friend of ours.
And, finally, here is the proper way to water a Great Dane. Zoe is very picky about her water - no toilet dunking for her. Actually, this weekend I caught her upstairs turning on the bathtub tap to get fresh water. I wouldn't mind if she would turn it off when she finished. Here she is downstairs in the bathroom at the sink - her method of choice. Click on the picture below to see the video.

Warren Potato Head and lots of curls

So... Paigie won't let me touch her hair to put any clips in it, but she'll sit still for her grandma to put it ALL up in pin curls to make it curly! We took it out when I got home and her hair was hilarious! It was SO curly - like Shirley Temple. It only lasted about 30 minutes before it was almost completely flat again. She has straight hair. Here's the before and after:

Here's video of Paigie saying Warren is a Mr. Potato Head. Warren is my lead - sort of supervisor and you can hear me telling her to say it, but it's still funny! I assured Warren that Paige LOVES Mr. Potato Head and really, it's a compliment. Click on the picture to watch the video. Below is tato head parts and then Cam's creation. He like MPH too! Hey. MPH... Mister Potato Head.. Miles Per Hour. HAHAHAHA! I figured that one out all by myself. Here, video:

Now, I really have no idea how this got on my camera, but hey, nothing says love like Genevieve's butt in your lens.

Mariners win!

Dad came over yesterday and we went to the game together. I ended up having 3 tickets and when we got downtown, I realized Jeff's wedding show was directly across the street from the stadium, so I went in and gave him the extra tickets and he was able to join us before the first pitch. We had a wonderful time and the Ms won in extra innings. The kids stayed home with Mom and had dinner at a 'restaurant' they set up in the living room. Cam even drew a menu and he and Paige ordered from Mom. We also took a walk along the paths around our neighborhood.

Disneyland, CA

Thursday morning, I stayed home from work to pick up mom from the train. I really wanted to do Paige's hair, but she was less than accommodating. Crabby baby! I finally did it after calling her grandma who can handle doing it every day. Actually, it took three or four phone calls. Anyway, I didn't do a great job, but here's a picture. Notice the crabbiness.

Friday morning, Mom and I went to CA. We had originally intended to go to Tijuana, so our flight was to San Diego and we rented a car and drove back North to Disneyland. We spent Friday and Saturday playing at Disneyland and California Adventure park. It was GREAT!! We stayed at the Marriott in San Diego and I have to say they have the most comfortable beds ever. Now I want a feather bed so I can sleep like that every night.

Here are some Disney pictures. Sully:

Here is a picture of Mom and me on the best roller coaster in CA Adventure. Notice the sheer joy on my face and absolute terror on Mom's! What a crack up!
We got super duper wet on the raft ride. Buckets of water were just dumped on us. My clothes didn't dry for hours. I finally bought a new shirt to keep warm.

We had so much fun. I really want to go back!
